Sometimes we need to take advantage of that time off to just be still and, well, do nothing.
Go on a personal retreat, maybe? Work on a hobby? Get back in touch with the Lord and check on the state of our spiritual health (this often gets neglected amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life)?
I was tempted, a couple of months before, to take a week off and go somewhere exotic. Instead, I ended up simply taking a week off. And it did wonders for me. Actually, I’m still on it.
Nearly every time people hear you say, “I’m off for a week,” their immediate response would be to ask, “Where are you going?” And sometimes, the answer to that isn’t a place, but a state of being.
